thanks... I had actually seen that in my google search, but it was just the pic of the unassembled parts, not this one with the door..
cheaper option fo sure...... I actually was looking to run a square/rectangle.. still need to figure out a mounting for the fill neck... which could effectively be a shallow box behind that door..
which is an option.. when I have him weld up the doghouse, I'm gonna have all the walls premade/fitted for him... I could just make up the 5 small box pieces and have him weld it up and weld it to the backside of the panel...

ordered my drawers today.. sort of...
bad news.... my original idea of a drawer like this in smooth with the full face pull out......
no worky..... being 7.5" tall would only leave about a 2" drawer apparently with the perimeter frame and HD construction, etc....
so instead, I'll be running a single drawer, like the ones here that are stacked..
they have a slide retention handle deal to the left, but no lock... what that means is I'm going to do my own fold down outer door out of the same 1/4" alum as the panels.. with my own locking latches.. probably something similar to the southco's I posted earlier about running on the floor..
more bad.... no partitions available for that drawer... I'll have to figure out something on my end....
the good... $1300 to my door total..

Ryoken - off to drink heavy and figure out a piano hinge/locking latch setup for doors....
on a, design aside... this also lends me to believe I'm much more likely to do bottom alum panels under the boxes...
also... the underbody boxes are bucks... I'd be looking at like $1100 per side.. built like brick sh*thouses apparently.... so I may end up doing my own thing out of 1/4" alum down there too.. haven't gotten that far in the nightmare at this point..

There's also a Tractor Supply near me on Rt. 38 by Rt. 206 (Vincentown Diner). It wouldn't be too far out of your way to stop next time you go down to Fazzio's.
thinking maybe something like this in natural, mounted in alum, piano-hinged, dropdown doors...... locking obviously

My boxes on the work truck are from tractor supply. Cant beat them, $200 a box and they come in 24, 36 and 48in. 18x18x length.

Have you looked at American van, weather guard, or pack rat for your drawers. They may be able to make your drawers the way you want (size and dividers) and the underside boxes. They are tough and all companies have been around forever.
They also have all the stuff like hinge stop locks and flapper locks. They may be able to make the drawers you desire also. Worth a look or call?

Check w/ Galls. They sell a lot of boxes for police and fire vehicles. You might also want to check w/ Sirchie. They make all the SWAT, crime scene and command/control type vans. They can definitely make something to your specs if they don't already have it. And, they have a facility right down in Medford.

I should be getting it out of the LAB™ and back bolted on to Mutt in a couple weeks...

well, that may have been one of the more interesting things I've done by myself...
flipping a 700+/- lb tubebed over...
took some interesting rigging....
price = 1 light bulb.... didn't know my engine hoist would go that high...

Whoops.
a small fee.. grateful I didn't crush my little head.... 
it was quite the clusterflock... had to stand it up on the siderails, almost to the ceiling.. tie it off left and right to the garage door frame with rope.. disconnect the hoist, bring to other side.. than pull the bottom out to get it going over the other way... 
ran out of argon... so next weekend will be spent welding up all that bracing/tabbing, sandblast those joints and spot prime in green...
started getting ready to do the 2 taillight panels.. i'll probably cut those out next weekend, and the 2 front corners... than figure out how I'm gonna bend em...

Was just looking over a couple pages in this and saw that you went to Fazzio's. When I lived in eastern PA that is where my dad and I went for all of our steel. Wish I could find a place like it down here in TN. The selection and ability for the customer to walk around and look at stuff and pick it out themselves was awesome.
Fazio's is pretty darn good, been to the main store in Glassboro, and Wall, but never to the pennsy place... I just started having to use them fulltime about a yr ago..
I used to have a much better source from my welder bud, TON's of stuff, cut to any dimension I wanted, for cost.... but he retired last yr..
gonna need to make another run out to Wall in the next month or so.. need another sheet and a 1/2 of the alum, for the lower boxes, and doghouse over the tank... plus some 1" strip steel for framing out the side doors..
just prepped Mutt's stock fuel tank to go back in till the new tank is made... maybe I can get to that next weekend, and get it fired up...

Was that TW metals paul? Thats where we get our tube from and my boss said its crazy cheap. BTW he said he walks into Fazzios and gets DOM in small quantity fairly frequently.
this is progressing pretty fast now...Mutt will complete before long...at least the gasoline burning version of Mutt 
We always drove to the Glassboro location. It was under an hour from where we lived outside of Philly.
