Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

right.. it's almost like they need to be the same as the rear alum, or black.. the only other chrome is on the lockout hubs... just not sure if the black will be too dramatic... i know, i know, circus wagon already and all that, :haha: but the silver is a bit more blendy..... eh, i'll prolly give it a shot.... i can always change it....

Put some black tape on them and see if you like it.

Get some 73-75 handles. Trust me.

i thought 73 to 87 where all the same?

i notice they did color inserts on these....

put the headliner back in today.. it's not perfect, the underpad is pretty hammered.... but it looks better than steel... need to hunt down the light lense..

and for the life of me, i have no idea where the back corner plastics are.. tore the house apart looking for them... can't imagine they went to trash, but they are lost for now... I assume it's 2 corners, and a center piece under the window.. assuming, it's been a while....

I wouldn't mind redoing it down the road with sound deadener and that one dude on FB's one piece fiberglass insert thingy... think it was about $500 iirc....

can't wait for the door panels... :woot:

I don't think there's a piece under the rear window. Typically the seat would cover that.

yeah, that makes sense after looking at it again.... anyone gets a few seconds to snap a pic for me to confirm what the 2 corner pieces look like, i'd appreciate it.... i know what they should look like, but the only plastic i'm finding are various K5 ones, B-pillar and such...

this weekends projects include... hooking up the bed lights.... doing some drawings of the tank to go get a # on that.... and starting cut out the rockers for blasting, etc.....

damn it.......

went to hook up my lights and bat switches finally in the dash...

lost my wiring diagram for Mutt's drawer..... :angry1: must of got tossed somehow...

not a huge deal, but I will have to open the bundle in the tray and do some continuity tests.. waste a couple hrs probably.....

trying to get motivated for the rockers in a week or 2... have everything except the ps cab corner.. need to call LMC tomorrow and check on that.... I'll prolly do the ds thru primer.. than the ps a couple weeks later... than paint...

I also spent a couple hrs yesterday getting absolute final measurements on tank stuff... including a 5 degree down angle on the fill fitting.. now i need to translate that into 2 or 3 different printed views with measurements and all.... i could just draw it, but with my chicken scratch, i feel better giving him this.. also I'm not in a huge rush to get over there as I'll be broke here for a couple months paying for the Furd....

so my cab corner from LMC got lost... They're sending another... glad I called...

* brutal boat week... :( been getting slaughtered the last couple weeks... tough jobs and conditions... one of my most important tools lately has been my phone when i go down in the hole... You're not always sure your gonna be able to get back out.... :haha:

lot of blood, sweat and cursing this week. ;) *

just a little pre-slutting babble....

everything is in place to do my front doors, just waiting on the panels.. order has been in like 3 wks now or so.. got new outer felts and window felt this week from them.. so at least, they are working in the right direction.. I hope i get them by the end of the month would be cool.....

i also have a full box of Noico to start deadening the rig.. but I'll wait till i do each door to do that.. a day, gut em, deaden, reassemble with new stuff... hmmmmm, just thought of that, be a good idea to do a polish on that glass when it's out that day.....

also have new door pull brackets to install... not bothering with anything on the vent windows, they work well enough.. some dryrot and the locks don't work, but ok for a while.... maybe I'll build the composite lowers over the winter...

got the bed lighting done... pics later... :pimp:
