Super-dutys 1999 to 2004 on the 250s should of came with Dana 50.
The screwed up thing about these Dana 50s is that they look like a Dana 60, but under the cover had the guts of 50. The 350 may of come with a Dana 60 but Ford may have reserved the 60 for 450.

I found my D60 from an ‘04 F350. There’s a cast gusset on the pinion that makes it easy to identify

The dana 50 was 99 to 2003 and only srw. The dana 50 was phased out in place of the dana 60 in 2004.
well, he said it's from an 04.. so i'm hoping 60.. but i just sent him a message and asked...

what say the bruddahood? decent deal? i think the fact they are 4:10 makes it very desirable to me with going up to 35's.... and I'm guessing the 4:10's are a bit less common...
might try to wiggle him to 600, but i'm not sure he'll move on that.. mainly cuz he's gonna have to pull em....
Nope. '04 definitely a 60 front. I had one. '99-02 srw f250 and f350 had the 50.

I paid a LOT more for a D60 a couple of years ago. The one you're looking at had a lot of rust on that thing but it was all in places that can be replaced... Seems pretty cheap at $600. But again western US the D60's get a premium.
I'm fine with putting fresh outer stuff, rotors, calipers, balljoints, bearings, etc... as long as they aren't milkshaked, i think it's a good deal... you know me, I'll blast the tubes, center section, to clean em up..
so, it looks like the nice complete 4" Sky kit is 2 g's, including Bilsteins... doesn't come with front springs...
tires would be another grand... so with putting $800 more into the axles, I'd be looking at about 5 g's all together to have all new running gear and meat...

fug, my 97 stock steelies don't fit??!!!? ah, that would really suck..
that was kind of the whole deal, keep that look with some bigger meats... probably some similar that fit, but yeah, that'd be another couple hundy easy...
ah, that sucks... just looked at summit.. they ain't got sh*t for steelies.. all round hole or D-window daytona looking stuff.. definitely not the look i was going for...
so, after looking around for a bit... the best 2 choices i can come up with are 2 different D-window style steelies... one 16 x 10 and one 17 x 9.. of course, i was kind of liking the idea of a 16 x 9... 
i really like these better with the smaller D window and the 9" wide... but i am a sidewall guy, so the 17 is a bit of a turnoff.. tho after looking at some images, it isn't horrible...

Is the front end totally worn out as it sits now? Unless it's totally fubar why spend all that time and money on a perfectly good running and driving truck that doesn't leave the pavement? Plus I'd imagine swinging D60s around with a bum shoulder isn't the best idea. Plus plus wouldn't that money be better spent on the Cummins swap?

all VERY legit questions and stuff I have and am considering... just exploring options for the rig, haven't pulled the trigger on doing anything yet.. that's also the reason for the prior post figuring out what a total cost would be... that wouldn't get the 12v swap "done", but it would certainly help the parts pile a ton..
once i saw the axle pivot bushing shot on the TTB, I really just want to SAS it... not that fixing it hasn't crossed my mind, especially with the current situation... just hate dumping $500 into a pair of tires that will get chewed up unless I do the shitty bushing job...
If you need to replace the hub/wheel bearing units, you can buy ones with 8 on 6.5 or you can redrill the stockers.
Those small D windows are what I put on my Jimmy. I'd go 17 for futureproofing on tire availability.
