build babble... so, it's never quite as easy as you hope.. was gonna try and finish up the heavy maintenance on this rig this weekend after taking a couple weekends off..... bearings, rotors, calipers, rotate the tires... but I'm looking at more time, and parts being needed on the brake system......
earlier in the week I lost brake assist a couple days.. pretty certain it's the vac pump crapping out, and not the booster.. kinda unfortunately..
the booster failing would give me the opportunity to pull the pedal assembly and do those other clutch bushing.... plus I really need to get to that rod end mod.. blew out that new plastic bushing in like 6 wks.. luckily they are cheap and i bought 4, but....

it would certainly be the time to do it...
and it may still be that.. i checked vac at start up, and while it does make some vac, it's pretty lame.. i didn't bother to drop a gauge on it, but it only felt like a couple lbs maybe. and the issue doesn't develop till you've driving a while... anyway, ordered a pump and pulley, it'll be here next friday...
so, that meant i was gonna do rotors, etc this weekend and the rig would still be down till next weekend.. whatever, it's why I kept blackie around... it needed some run-time anyway...
well, was NOT feeling well yesterday at all.. all i did was block the front up and pull the tires.. had this headache and my equilibrium was all out of whack.. think it's stemming from this ear issue I've been having forever.. anyway, bit better today, so i got some decent time in between entertaining Kai...
went one step further than i needed, by pulling the spindle and mud catcher off for cleaning/blasting.... wanted to exercise that stuff so i would know i can get to the u-joints or camber bushing if I need to get back in there... tell ya what, glad I did, that spindle took some beating to get out... tape, block o wood, sluggo, repeat x eleventy...... NOTHING has EVER been apart on this rig... but the BJ's seem nice and tight...
at least next time i go in, it'll be a bit cleaner and quicker....
unfortunately, my Napa guy sent me 3 outers, and 1 inner by mistake..... so i'll finish this side up tomorrow and get the other side as far as possible...
oh, and I also decided to just throw calipers at it too.... the inner piston section is rotting apart bad..... rock auto here I come...
