Campy...I have my bad days too. I easily had a pretty bad 6 months, maybe more. If I was rough on you along the way, please accept my apologies.

We're good, Rene, apology accepted. I don't know what all is going on, but I've seen how you've handled WM, and I'm glad things have turned around for you. You are one tuff cookie.

Please don't wave the banstick. :1zhelp:  :haha:

Skip the ten spline SM465. Too short. Why give yourself that head ache unnecessarily? You have a long box!

Only trying to keep the Tcase forward of the break over point.

At this point though I'm not having a ton of luck locating the short parts needed. Have found several 465/208s to start from and found a 32 spline 203

Been thinking about your fuel tank set up. The only thing that makes me nervous is turning on the auxiliary pump to fill the main tank and forgetting to turn it off. Did you do anything to address that or do you have any thoughts about it?

I can add a float in each tank and run through the transfer pump and a relay timer. Kinda complicated

Does that mean you are going to? Been thinking about doing a similar setup myself.

Weighing the choice between stock TBI and a FiTech type setup. On the negative side for the FiTech is needing a high pressure fuel supply system. Basically the same as if I was doing the Vortec/LS type swap. Debating the +/- of setting up the tanks like you and @Kay86K5.

I thought the FiTech used stock mechanical pump to draw fuel into the reservoir, then it bumped it up to proper pressure. Thought that was the big draw of it all.

Also, if Mark isnt constantly leaking fuel, like on Poison Spider, how else is he going tofind his way home? Infact, you should go diesel, stuff lasts longer on the ground without disappearing and going to fuel heaven.

That's an option. Most run a high pressure pump and return like you would on a LS or most other aftermarket EFI systems, the fitech has a built in regulator.

Isn't a two tank system like that going to generate/invite more problems like fuel heating or vapor lock?

Some of my dad's friends have been using this method and have had issues

the fitech does have a reservoir setup but it cost more money.
I think it's well worth it though. Especially for the kind of stuff we do. If you ran a sump in the tank with the fitech fuel command center that would be sweeeeeeeet.

Oh yeah and the price is actually pretty good for what you get. I'm finding out that I'm really not saving much over what I would have paid for the fitech inline delivery system.

Going to throw this back out there, i want you FITech guys to answer this...

One gallon tank with a electric pump in it. Doesn't recirc to the main tank. How could this not heat the fuel, especially at low consumption, such as crawling?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't like it.

I ended up purchasing a little aftermarket fuel gauge from summit and I also purchased this:

http://mnpctech.com/bulgin-modmytoy...n/red-led-fighter-pilot-toggle-switch-en.html

It has a little dummy red light that turns on when you have it on. I'm going to make a little simple mount to have the toggle switch and the smaller gauge right next to each other. That way, when I flip the switch, I'll have a bright red light in my face reminding me that my transfer pump is on, and I'll be able to watch the little gauge on the storage tank go down while I watch my normal fuel gauge on my cluster go up....that's about as fool proof as I could make it without doing the relay option that bent72 mentioned.

Obviously I haven't hooked this up yet as the stupid truck isn't even running yet, but I did do a ruff in of the wires to the tank and the toggle switch to make sure it work, and when I flipped the switch, the light came on and the pump started running. So I just need to make my little mount for these two things, and run the final wiring for it all...shouldn't be too hard, just some time to get it done

40 gallon burb tank for the win

The only thing that kinda sucks about swapping in a burban tank on the pickups is relocating the filler door/tube which involves body work (I hate body work), but all the other aspects to it are nicer than the saddle tanks.
