Be stubborn and keep it old school, sounds like a exspenive experiment.
I like to have one old guy around to tell us how to tune a quad. No joke Eh!
Only concern with the Q is off-road. Some of those angles are an issue. And theres those two 11000’+ mountain passes to drive over.

Otherwise the Q has always served me well (watch how this turd abandons me!)

Never had a problem with my Q off road at the angles. The lack of the automated adjustment for altitude sucked though. I always bumped the timing at altitude and kicked up the idle speed to compensate at low speeds.

Drivng on/off road with mine having MPFI for the last two years have spoiled me. I may keep the carb on the Nova but the Blazer will be injected. Now I just have even bigger injectors to play with.

So kinda in limbo

When I switched to the Sniper, it said i was making 12” vac not 17” I initially had with the carb. Presumed it had to do with the throttle body

Went back to the carb, 12”. Pulled the intake and resealed. 14”

And right now can’t even get it to start. Yay

Did you sell the sniper?

So once upon a time with this engine and the carb initially it had 17" vacuum but then lost it at some point when swapped to efi but you don't know when exactly or what you did to get the vacuum loss? Hmm

Long and short yeah. I have my suspicions.

Did check a couple cylinders for pressure just for shiggles. 150 psi
