Trailblazer manifolds are dirt cheap thru gm so i am going to go that route and remove the headers since they hit the 4L80e and 3 inch pipe with duals is over kill.

Pull them out. You will be glad you did IMO. It really really really sucks doing them in a vehicle unless you are on a lift.
it was a 10 bolt, didn't even need the hoist!
In the ag world, we always used compressed air and soapy water. It really pissed off some people when I would suggest it.

literally.
Not holding vacuum sucks, but instead of adding r-134a, why not use some nitrogen as a leak detector. Its cheaper.

Well that way works too. If it loses ANY vac at all, there is a leak. I am sure you know this, but it seems many folks dont these days. Any loss at all of freon, be it in your house or in this case truck, there is a problem.
Sorry, been doing residential duct work the past few months for the Local, and have added 4 lbs of R-22 to a system, and had to go back 2 days later because (it doesnt leak but uses freon).![]()
Fill er up and see what happens. Did you replace the condenser with the newer crossflow one or run the factory one? Heard that helps alot with the 134A conversion.
If you dont mind me asking, do you have the part number for your crossflow condenser? Mine is leaking, and I have done all the work to swap to 134A, except my newly leaking condenser.
