Tape them off and paint them argent silver with a small brush. That'll test your patients

Why is he gonna do it at the hospital?

If you do sand it just use a coarse grit sandpaper. It will remove the paint without providing enough polishing action to "shine" the aluminum. Just be a satin finish.

Haha! I did it on purpose hence the whistling smiley. I think it was in Babas thread the other day. :haha:

Well they are aluminum as opposed to the stock tin ones?

I am torn. I don't want polished, and I am not sure how to sand them down without making them shiny.

Martin

I was just meaning if you don't make them look cool you might as well have the old tin ones painted black.

No, it is more of a joke than anything. I am super opinionated, but I act even more so as a joke. I don't really care if someone paints their engine black, I just think it is ugly.

Oh. I thought you actually were that opinionated about things. :dunno:

No, I just act like a jackass. I would never paint my own tin valve covers black.

Martin

So do them valve covers in Orange and sand down the ribs. That would look cool.

No, I like the aluminum valve covers in black. Like the old M/T valve covers.
