somehow the result of this was a fried distributor and ended up spending the night there. Ran into town the next morning picked a replacement and back to the road
On the last day we parked the trucks and went out riding quads. Thinking everything was good to head home we packed up and got set to hit the interstate when the drivers side rear of the Jimmy dropped a couple inches. The lift block had cracked and fallen out probably due to jumping. So another trip to the parts store...
Side note, the morning after replacing the distributor this dog came up to us and was apparently lost. Calling the number on the tags we found the owners were in salt lake and had lost their dog in moab the previous week. Later that night he was returned safely home.
I forgot to mention that I replaced my Diff covers with Rock Crusher covers.
October 09 The_Blaze and I met up with another group in Moab for fall break.
A few weeks later I was able to meet up with Bad_90Blazer and some wheeling out past Saratoga Springs.
It was great to meet a fellow CK5er.
we found a little mud and made the best of it.
it was a fun time but usually its not worth it. I vividly remember spending hours cleaning the truck after that trip...then the driveway, and the gutter.
Up to 2010.
In the spring I bought a rear shackle flip from Offroad Design and Procomp 56" springs. They were 4" lift springs for a suburban. It was about this time I realized my front shocks were a weak point and needed to be upgraded. So I went off to 4 Wheel Parts and pulled out the ramp to get some measurements.
I decided to use ford shock towers and Procomp MX6 shocks with 12" travel. They were a welcome improvement.
In march I tried crushing a couple cars, because Monster Truck .
2011 passed by with the truck being parked most of the time. No updates until 2012 when I was able to visit Moab again for Safari.
The only big update was installing three 9" HID lights on the bumper.
I signed up to run Gold Bar with the Safari and out of all the Jeeps there just happened to be a K5 bro on the trail.
