When I built my cage I didnt think it would really cause an issue with the ac if I ever added it. Since I put the vintage air in, we noticed the general sense of cooler air but the A pillar just diffused it too much. The bar would get really cold but it didn’t translate into to cab all that well.
My wife asked me to do something about it so here’s my fix.

Made a noticeable difference

Catching up this thread. Had a few things added to the truck over the past 6 months.
The biggest thing is tires. After running Hells Revenge at not-BB24 I got a flat in one of my Yokohamas. IMG_2607.jpeg

I believe this was mostly due to age and dry rot.
After getting home I was on the look out for tires. 38s are kind of a rare size and are either hard to find or real expensive. I looked at 37s but didn’t want to go down in size.
After month or so I came across some Nittos on Method beadlocks in the 40” flavor. The price was good so they came home with me.

I left the wheel spacers on it since it looks so cool with the wide stance, but it was instantly noticeable in the steering.
A couple months ago we had the Salt Lake Offroad Expo and I got the opportunity to fill a last minute absentee spot.
So I clean up the Jimmy and got it presentable enough for Josh to pose next too.

We had some pretty cool neighbors at the show.

After that show I noticed the cone on my sub had come off so it seemed like a good time to switch out the larger replacement I had on the shelf. It made a noticeable difference. Going from a bottom line JL to mid level CT sub. I think the JL is salvageable and will end up in another project.

Last week we had another local squarebody club show that I wanted to attend. So I wanted to shine up the Jimmy as I wasn’t happy with the amount of oxidation the paint was showing.

I saw a deal for a cordless buffer that would use my Milwaukee batteries and decided to give it a try. Grabbed some cleaner wax and went to work. I think it turned out pretty good.

It’s far from perfect but tons better than it was.

the drive to and from the show made one thing stick out to me that needed to be fixed. The steering as all over the place. I knew my tierod was getting older and was needing some attention.
I wanted to replace it with some good parts, and that means ORD. I ordered up one of their HD tierods and got TREs from rock auto.

Pulled the old one off and it was shot.

I've loved my Nitto's. Driven me to Moab a few times and all the way to the Rubicon and back. And they work good on the trails. I'd definitely buy them again.

To get my ram assist mounted in the new tierod, I used a ruffstuff tierod clamp and ran to my local Cal Ranch that had the perfect 1/2” x3/4” bronze bushings.

They also had the plug for the front of the clamp.

I then made some alignment tools to set the toe at 36” about 1/8” toe in
