This made me laugh. A lot.
Learned alot tonight, but mostly it's just speculation...
I learned that I have one of the notorious "my FiTech has a POS Engine Coolant Temp sensor" recipients...
Changed out my T-stat to an unmodified 195°F unit tonight. Fired it up and burped the system. Waited for the upper hose to get hot, and then went and looked at the temp reading on my FiTech display. It said 176°. First thought was "I got a shit t-stat".
Well before I could grab my laser IR temp gun, the coolant boiled out with extreme prejudice...
The geyser shot to my neighbors driveway.
I "speculate" that most of my issues with this FiTech are ECT related...
@skunked , I will swap the ECT and drive. I will comfirm temps with the IR gun, and then start picking your brain...
Don't hold your breath though, may be several more weeks until I get back to this...

The 57 developed the same problem, put a delco in and it’s been fine since.
Is that electrical connector to it the same as a TBI? What year ECT does that cross to?
Yeah it’s the super common GM sensor, AC Delco15326386
