My father's day present is 5 ton of pea gravel dropped in the driveway. I should have it by the time I get off of work...

It's sarcasm.

But I would rather just get this round of work done. I told her to get it ordered so I could get on it.

Do it.

While you're at it, light up some 31's...

I gifted nick wheels, not wheels and tires...:deal:

Well, no pics as of yet, but this current round of home upgrades is nearly over. Got probably 2-3 hours of work yet, then I can get back on my green one, and maybe @mrk5 will get an extra truck to go wheeling with before the year is out...

Yay! :D

Well, with the unexpected trip to Texas, I am unfortunately not any closer to an engine swap. But I have a new idea. Thinking about not swapping the engine at all, and just putting FItech on the one I have...

Wifey is reluctantly on board. Now should I buy a 400hp base kit or a 600hp kit with timing control? Or get the Sniper from Holley?

The plan is to get the truck going again on an efi kit. I was working on prepping a 1990 350 TBI motor to swap in place of my 79 350. The main reasons for swapping to the other engine that I have is mainly the one piece rear seal and that it has all of the TBI stuff to go with it. Other than piss poor fuel economy, and other carb related issues, nothing is really wrong with my current engine. The more that I think about it, the less that I want to mess with the TBI. I would like to be able to upgrade the 1990 engine at my leisure (heads, cam etc.) and run my current engine in the mean time. Looking for recommendations on which kit people like.

I like timing control

Sell all that other stuff, should cover a good chunk of your conversion

If you go FITech, the 400 HP is enough

As far as I know, the 400 hp fitech base kit doesn't include timing control

I think that the bent one is good at spending other people's money!!!
But I would agree that if you need to step up on the Fitech kit to get timing control, do it.

I honestly wish that I had a easier way to tune my '90...

Timing control should be a part of any base package for after market fuel injection. The TBI controls the timing load, no sense going back to the dark ages

I feel the same way about the timing control, it's really half of what EFI is IMO. I feel like the non-timing kits are for those cruiser applications that performance will never be a priority. The 600 kit gives you flexibility if you decide to put together something with a little more performance in the future.

What's you plan for fuel delivery?
