Now you have to be 32 years old.

Anything older than 1976 model year has no emissions testing required. Anyhting 1976 to 32 years old (with collector plates) need to pass emissions every five years, to renew plates, unless you were grandfathered in.

Anything with standard plates 1976 tp 1981 model years get yearly testing.

Anything with standard plates 1982 model and up get tested every two years, except for some of this new stuff that is emissions exempt.

Of course, if you are in a non-emissions county, than lucky you, and kindly f off...:flipoff7:
 
You and I talked about how ridiculous it is anymore. Pretty hard to keep a late 70's ride going if the emissions place is a real stickler for factory equipment when half of the "thermo-vacuum switches" and the like are either out of production or you spend 3 weeks ordering and returning to try and get the right one...


Almost seems like the guvment is trying to force old stuff to pasture with all of the crap you gotta go through...
 
As one of those in a non-emissions county :flipoff3:. Classic plate what? No need for those things..
 
As bad as St Clair county IL sucks, I don't have to pass emissions on anything at my house. Move to the city however and 96+ does but the program has been suspended due to funding.
 
One positive thing about Iowa. Zero emissions Nannies and no safety inspections. I own one vehicle that would pass.

Edit- actually two, i forgot about the 7.3 having no emissions

Arizona is the same way. Have to keep meticulous control over all the vacuum bs on mine. 80 with AIR...

Order came in.

@Gravel Maker does some nice work and freaking crazy good packaging.

I took everything out of the box and then couldn't get just the packing paper back in it by itself.

Couple things for me, and something for the wife...
