Those gears look almost as awesome as the one Slawson posted earlier this week after KoH.

You been offroad racing Justin?

Well, like most everything that I end up doing twice, it's safe to say it was all my fault...

Combo of bad and more bad upon disassembly here.

One plus is that the brakes on this axle are in really good shape. Gonna pull the bearings out of the hub and clean them up, get new wheel seals, slam this back together. Obviously cleaning everything up real good first.

Also need to look at new jam nuts for the hub bearings.

Nice work. It takes a pro to generate that much carnage. A couple cans of brake clean, some elbow grease and it will be ready for reassembly in no time.

I think there's a torque spec for the bearing cap bolts.....

Sorry had to harass.

Where the caps loose or snug? How many miles did it make before all that?

Shit happens.

I had a rear wheel fall off our Duramax when my wife was driving it by herself in town. I swear I torqued that on there!?

One took a wrench to loosen, one was 4 turns out, two were 2 or 3 turns out. It made it over a 1000 miles that way.
