Now wetsand, and polish!!! lol. Those looks sweet:waytogo:
thanks man. when I got them done I was kinda in a rush to get the truck moving again, so I just slapped them on. besides, I'm still trying to decide if I want to polish them up, or paint them.

Hey Ash, love your Blazer and the build. Who's crossover set up did you go with? I may have missed it reading through the build. I'm right there with my build would like to get one ordered up. I know they are pretty basic but thought I'd check. Thanks in advance.

thanks man. I had a local shop here in salt lake build it for me years ago.

the do a lot of custom work, but I don't think they ship kits. you are free to call them, but I think most guys go with a setup from diy4x since he's a vendor here.

not exactly build related, but I finished my first welding project. :pimp:

I found this tiny little hand truck and decided to turn it into my torch cart.

a little welding, cutting, grinding and bending later, I have a nice torch cart. I think it turned out pretty well for my first project.

Nice work!

Being able to weld opens up SO many options in the creative build process. It's no longer about buying from existing marketplace of parts... It about building exactly what you want, exactly the way you want it.

Looks Great Ash. :waytogo:

Just don't take the red pill with your rig and new welder. It's a long ways down the rabbit hole and even longer way back up and out.. :D

thanks guys.

absolutely. it's fun going out to the garage and realizing that the only real limit is my imagination. I still have a long way to go in the skill department compared to a lot of you guys, but I got time. :D

I'm just doing some routine maintenance, oil change, adjust clutch, plugs & wires, etc, getting ready for summer driving season.

while I was at it, I decided to finally fix the exhaust leak coming from the passenger side. I've been putting it off for a long time because i figured I'd broken a weld or gotten a rust hole or something and I just didn't want to deal with it. now that I have a welder, I figured it was time to get in there and fix the problem.

well, turns out, the bolts holding the exhaust pipe to my ram horn were just loose enough to cause a leak. they were so loose the pipe was slightly misaligned. can't believe I put off something so simple, for so long. got everything tightened back up and nice quiet truck again. :thumb:

between the new wires & plugs and the fixed exhaust, it's like driving a whole new truck again! amazing what a little routine maintenance will do.

We've all put off some maintenance before. Glad you got some stuff fixed though. Sometimes that stuff feels better than big fixes.

had a chance to take the blazer, kids and wheelers out. had a great day, but god do I need to regear the truck. 3.73's and 35's just don't cut it, especially pulling a load.

gonna have to do some research on what gear ratio I want, and see if changing them out is something I could pull off myself.

I've been jonesin' to get back to work on the truck, but I've had to spend all of my garage time actually finishing the garage, so you'll get progress shots of that instead. :D

I've been getting all of the roof edges wrapped in aluminum soffit and facia:

now just finishing up the siding.

I ran out of siding and the new order will take 3 weeks to get here, so hopefully that means I can put a little time into the truck. just gotta decide which job I want to tackle first.

With a dedicated garage space like that who cares what "project" is next..... :D

My suggestion: roll out some carpet under the truck and just lay down under there staring up at the suspension, crossmembers, etc. I do that a lot and always end up with some cool ideas as a result.

Lookin' good, Ash. Good job on keeping the corners matched up. :waytogo:

What are you using to hang the vinyl?
