Cool. Need to get it powder coated yellow.
Forgot to mention that my Keychain came in. He actually sent me the lowered version first, but he quickly sent out the right one after I contacted him.
I like it.
I'll look into it, thanks. In a D44 I would run an Aussie Locker
I don't drive the blazer a bunch, so as long as they are quiet and the cost is reasonable I'm sure they'll last just fine for me.I have Yukon gears I bought from ORD and they seem to have held up well. Course I only put a few thousand miles on the pickup each year, and the same for the K5 before that.
Baby steps... I can't justify the cost of going 8 lug at this point. Just tires and rims puts it out of reach, not to mention everything else that comes with it.put a 60 in before you re-gear the 44, just sayin............

Please help me talk him into 4.88s![]()
depends on what size tires and trans he is running..why 4.88s?
ive got 4.56 and love it... but could go 5.13s if were throwing numbers out there.. just sayin.. hah
Hard to say exactly. I guess "most" of the time is spent cruising up to the mountains, and running mild dirt trails. That said, I also like to do a bit of rock crawling and usually make 1 or 2 trips down to Moab a year.@ashman what do you spend most of your time doing while driving the Blazer?
With the 35" tires, the 3.73s feel soggy. I don't remember for sure on the 14 bolt. I think it was 4.10s, but it might be 3.73s. Gonna open it up in the next few days, so I'll take a look.So.... why not just keep the 3:73 in it ?
What gears are in the 14 bolt now?
Now that I have an automatic, getting lower gears isn't a huge issue with the rock crawling, but cruising around it feels a little weak on take off and at my preferred cruising speed it seems to want to be between 3rd and 4th gear. I want to get gears that will give me a nice punch at take off, and be well into overdrive when I'm at cruising speed (70-75mph).
