finished up the wiring today...and Mike I did solder most every joint...I had a couple I didn't have a solder type connector for, so I used a solderless/shrinkwrap type on those.
Need to do the plumbing tonight when I get home from work, and hopefully it will fire up without issue...fingers crossed that all goes well!
I see I will need to first check fuel pressure at the regulator, then enter a temp setpoint for the fans to turn on, and the idle speed...any other issues I should look for?

Cool, thinking first the computer is going to have you set the TPS.
The Holley system wants 45psi to 47psi to the EFI, yours maybe 43psi but 45psi won't hurt anything. Set up your fans & idle and you should be good to go! Does the Fast system have a self tune mode? John gonna need to help you now since it sounds like he just went through the tuning on his! Good luck tonight!!!!!

Yes, I do have to set throttle closed (idle) and WOT for the comp.
I have read through those instructions and think it shouldn't be a problem, Just not sure if the engine had to be running first to set the fan temp and idle speed as that looks like it is deeper into the setup screens.

Fan on and off presets...

I'll share what I can Dave!

No need to have the engine running to set your fan on and off temps.
Set them where you want.(once its running you can confirm the accuracy)
I have my high setting slightly higher than my thermostat to allow for max difference between rad and engine temps.
Makes a difference in slow traffic or extreme temp days.

I even wired the fans with a bypass mode so both are on full if I want or both are controlled by the thermoswitch, and they can be turned off completely for deep water etc.

Let me know what details you need if any.

That sounds good John...I think I may rewire the ignition or fans at a later date, right now the ignition is hooked up to the original Pink wire that fed the distributor....
I got a bunch of electrical stuff I want changed...the guy I had helping me a couple years ago did some stuff I would like changed and another buddy is much better at wiring than the original guy is....One of these days!
I'll post up some progress pics tonight...when I get out of work I'm working in the shop til I get the fuel system done...hopefully tomorrow it will run!
Then I have a bunch of stuff to put back together to get it ready to run the dunes....

Dunes!!!!!yes Sir

Looking forward to the dunes.
Can't wait to meet in person!
Lot of Members backing out last min.....
Glad you are still in.

going to have to try and find them tomorrow somewhere??? No Summit in my neighborhood, but there is a Lane Automotive speedshop about 50 mi away?
We'll see what I can find tomorrow.
In the meantime here is the accel cable linkage hookup I came up with. A quadrajet stud, cut down and rethreaded to fit the FAST throttle body.

A pic of the throttle body and wiring, lacking fuel lines still.
And the MSD mounted inside the cab. I think that will get redone in the future as well, already not liking the placement of it.

dont' have a flat bottom air cleaner, thought about robbing one off the CC, but its a drop as well. I got some more hose ends this AM, and will be headed back to the shop shortly...time to button this thing up!

You can buy one at a parts store for $20. I would send you one in the mail, but it is a little too late for this weekend.

I went to 4 places this AM, and all they had was the drop base type.
Napa, a sportbuggy shop, Autozone and Oriellys...nobody had one, but that's ok I got one more 90* hose end for 17$ that should do the trick....

Running!
Now to get her put back together!

fenders, hood, front trim, rear floor, gas door in the floor
rear taillights, tailgate, bumper, gas tank skid plate
tie up wiring and fuel lines front to back
wire up CC for brake controller and lighting.

That sound like my typical day before a run...

I've been chipping away at our list too.
Always more to do than time allows...

I hear that.. There is a bunch of stuff on my list I'm not getting done. But it shouldn't effect wheeling!!!

If all goes well I'll have my junk loaded on the trailer tonight :thumb:

I had heard a bunch of CK5'ers are going to the dunes Saturday and I was wondering if there was anyplace or time in particular that you were meeting up? I would really like to meet everyone.
