If anything just drill the bolt hole lower in the clamp then run it like that.

How much compression travel you got? I mean thats the hot ticket. Just gotta have rebound to so the tires roll smoother over stuff

I really wanted to push the limits of leaf springs on the back of my girlfriends truck because I think i can make them work kickass. But a buddy is selling me a set of coilovers with springs for $400 so I just cant pass it up haha.
That’s the push for me, it’s really similar price wise for a true long travel spring and a good shock and mounts vs links, but if you are like me and have the shocks already then bumping to links is a much more costly endeavor, replacement springs are not much in the big scheme.

I have roughly 6 inches uptravel. My main goal is to have 16 or so inches of usable travel. Even if I strap the spring up some, it just helps the axle get back to the ground more quickly. I need to raise the back up 2-3 inches anyway, the cage has weighed it down that much and who knows how much more it’ll drop with the spare and fuel and tools.. if possible it needs to sit with 8 up and 8 down so I have some travel before I get into the bump zone on my bypass..

Officially drove Lucy for the first time.. she’s very angry at the world, lots and lots of power on tap, she ripped a few donuts off right before dark in cold weather!
Got the rear shocks in and setup and the front springs in proper and shocks are charged. Still gotta set the alignment and limit straps up. But damn that felt good after how ever many years it’s been! Whew!!!
Limited the front to 14 for now so it’s not so far ahead of the back. I’ll put a longer spring in once the back is let out. I figure I can pull at least another 2 inches of travel up front and still be reasonable with the camber at 1 degree ride height.

It was dark as hell!
Got my preload set, limit straps on and it isn’t at 14 inches up front it ended up 18 inches.. just cause the straps stretched way more than I thought and I had to put 3 inches of preload in to get ride height.
Rear got setup just fine 11 3/8 inches of bypasses badness lol.. (ya right)
Mounted the resis in the back all porno status.. hang them bad boys where everyone can see them!

Did you remake your tie rods? Or are you still running the sleeved ones?
These are the temp tie rods, I am going to Run around with these for the test trip, I have to order the bungs and I already have the larger heims. But yea I know if I push it with these and stuff it I will bend them..
