Here is my work area.
 
Not the best pic but when I did this dump truck gate we had to do it outside. I used a couple cans of antispatter spray. Most of the spatter would just wipe off. This pic was just a quick rundown with a wire brush. It got 90% of the spatter off
 
Wow that is pretty clean! Freaking spatter sucks to clean up and it gets everywhere
 
If anyone was curious this is what the inside of the shock looks like

Is there a shock piston in that pic? Is that the black thing next to the res. end cap? Weird looking piston if so but I haven't been into an older SAW shock at all.
 
Rich this is a borrowed welder to get me through the minor stuff that I borrowed, Stephen that's the piston yep, I'll get some closer pics it is very strange!

They told me this is a short course piston. Not sure what that means for me but we'll run it!
 
I was totally thinking of you guys too when in walked in there.. Next time I go I'll take pics of the inside for you. It's like a candy land but for desert guys.. They have a wall of shocks!

In an effort to extend the length and get my trackbar as close to my steering as predictably as possible I have made a few modifications to my mounts

Yes I know it's crooked I'll fix that tomorrow.
 
Oh and I kept hitting the duty cycle on the welder that's why one side is nice and the other side is crappy

Nope no crossover, we either going to attach the drag link to the tie rod or bore out the spindle and put the bolt in double sheer that ties the draglink and tie rod together. I'm leaning more towards mounting it on the tie rod because from the looks it might match up perfectly.

We also did some work.. Towed about 30lbs limited by the grade 5 9/16 hitch pin..
