image.jpg Finally got the beam ends welded up I made two passes which is why the weld looks pretty tall. Not my best work but strong. My buddie welded the other which I have no pics of.image.jpg
Finally figured out the tube bender after fighting with it for a few days. I had to cut the tube to be sleeved because I bent it in the wrong place. It'll be rosette welded and plated so it should be very strong.

Got both beams finally ready to be welded. I have to wait for the big heims to show up so I can get and exact measurement so I can burn in all in.

These are my buddies welds.. Much better than mine!

This is the redo of that tube sleeve.

Looks good. Plan on using a big welder for the beam burning? You might be there awhile with that little guy.

That's been sitting there. Daves brought the bigger Hobart down to tack this all up then I'll have him tig the whole deal so it's pretty.

Oh yah I remember now. :doah: must have lost that with the new forum upgrade :doah:

They look fine on my phone. Its on the computer that they were huge. Theres no side to side scroll bar now so that's better

Got the Mockup going. This time with the beams in their final shape. Still need to trim the length, Waiting for the heim joints to do that.

Mocked up a radius arm to the cut down factory one. Remember KISS method, I am not reinventing the wheel.

Starting to come together.

Neat shot of how it comes together.

Its very hard to show the offset of the beams to the chassis.

Yea its going to have a ton of uptravel..

Unfinished side.
These are the beam pivot brackets. I punched the 5/8ths hole for the bolts. Ill toss a tube gusset into the tops of these once on the frame. Ill also tie them into a crossmember.

Saweet.

It's hard to see, are you offsetting the knuckles or have horizontal bends in the beams to keep the wheelbase the same on both sides?

they are offset, the knuckles will be turned a tad on one side more than the other, it is really hard to visualze. If you imagine the centerline crossing the beams in the middle and one side being in front and the other in the rear. the center line also is the same at the knuckles.

This image kind of shows what I am talking about.

Is there even any intrest in this build? I am going to stop updating the thread if not.
