More than you would think, at speed the last thing I want to drag is a shock mount.. Speed plus rocks equals ripping shit off in quick order.

I should get the cuts back next week Friday.

Took some pics of the rear end and the clearance when it's articulated.

As you can see there is very little deflection to the side, this might be the product of it being spring under.
image.jpeg
This is about as far as I was willing to push it, don't want to accidentally force the truck off the lift!
image.jpeg
I really doubt it will see this much articulation because the tires will hit the body before the bumpstops will.

I messed up mounting my driver side coilover, I got the angle and height wrong. So I have to move it twice to match the other side. Now it's within 2 degrees of the other side and it would be physically impossible to match it perfect so it's as good as I can get it.

Sorry I didn't have enough time to build stuff but I did check a few things. The front unrestricted droops to 38 7/8 inches from fender lip to hub! Bump is 12 1/2 so that's 26 inches!

I haven't seen it like this with the new steering and the toe set properly. Suprised the toe in wasn't as bad as I thought.

Wow, 26" of front end travel, how are you ever going to get a driveshaft with that much angle clearance? :waytogo:

Brought home one of my wheels and tires for mockup. This should be fun.. Freaking wheels are heavy!

My wheel & tire combo is 190lb each. With spare I'm looking at 950lbs of wheels and tires. Now THAT, is heavy.

Looking good.

I shouldn't complain I came from superswampers 95lb each and 60lb wheels so not as heavy as you. These aren't that heavy..

I am going to take back that last comment. Uh I can barely lift this tired wheel combo.. It has to be 175 and that might be generous.. Damn it is heavy. But damn it looks good!

Been super busy this weekend. We got the new barn up, that was nice and the wife got to bring the horses back.
image.jpeg
Also got the cantilever mocked up on the truck, good thing I measured a bunch because this is perfect, right freaking on!
image.jpeg
Almost bump, it started to lift off the hoist so I had to ratchet it down some. Still have a little trimming to do.
image.jpeg
Dropped out, now I can make full use of all the leaf spring with no issue.

Front shock mount, I'll obviously be reinforcing this.
I'm happy as a pig in shit, this went together so well. Thanks @secutright for helping me design this, I swear this is the coolest part of the truck now!

image.jpeg

I wanted to show how I attach this at the frame,
image.jpeg
There is going to be a lot more tube gussets and reinforcing at the frame to support this.

Proof of concept worked out really well. I'm glad I went this route, saved immense amount of space in the cab.

The weather started to get crazy as the day wore on, I couldn't help but take a few pics of the clouds, absolutely spectacular.
