That's what I thought too...and it used to when I would do that right away, but now it usually will but not until long after it is warmed upYep elec choke. Usually they will kick down if you blip the throttle.
I ended up just playing with the idle screw and spraying down the linkages. Idles reasonably now. Still haven't been able to get the brakes working. Gonna have a friend come over today and help me out with it.Might have something to do with distributor timing and/or vacuum advance.
Thank you for the kind words and all the help and encouragement! I am grateful to be able to have participated in BB16. Thanks for all the hard work that you and others put in to make it all happen!I just want to say that BlaZeus did make it to Blazer Bash but he had some overheating issues. We figured out a clamp on the lower radiator hose was loose. Once that was situated a few of the guys donated BlaZeus some coolant to fill the system, which is the great thing about wheeling at Blazer Bash.
The other really cool thing is that BlaZeus tracked me down and gave me new bottles of coolant to give back to those guys that gave him theirs on the trail. That is something that doesn't happen very often and I thought it was a really great gesture so I wanted to share with those following the thread.
Good luck with continuing the build BlaZeus and I hope your trip to Blazer Bash goes smoother next year.
Chad! Haha I was asking around to see if anyone knew your username and no one did so I wasn't sure if I was ever going to be able to personally thank you for everything! You were seriously a Godsend bro. You are the man! I can't thank you enough for all the help and support you provided.I hope all went well on your trip home from Moab. I tried to find you after we finished the trail on Saturday but couldn't find you in any of the camp grounds. I hope you were able to play a little more before you had to go home.
If you need any help getting things worked out feel free to PM me.
Chad.
