I've found it looks scarier than it is, I did a bunch of glass repair on the fiberglass hood on my 71 bronco, really nervous about it but after a few dos and don'ts I was on it, came out perfect

That's a good question. Yes, but no, not easily. But my harnesses are easy and quick to undo in case of emergency. Can you actually grab that while in the harness?

Should I mount it somewhere else? Like down to the left of the seat?
IMO. Mount it where you can get to it while you are tightly strapped in hanging upside down and there is a fire in your cab about to burn you and your passengers, and your harnesses are hard to get out of because you are upside down....
I thought in a way, overdrive puts your trans in neutral when you take your foot off the gas? Or maybe I'm thinking of it shifts your trans in a higher(lower ratio) gear for driving on the freeway?... I am pretty illiterate when it comes to trans...need to learn up more on them.I don't understand what OD would have to do with that.
I don't think I have OD.You should never drive in the sand in OD. It will cause the converter to lock up and unlock a lot.
SBD has a TH400, and he jumps his a lot.
Exactly! Yeah basically not being on the gas when landing was what I was told too. I just wasn't sure how that worked with a basic th350 trans. He's talking about the converter locking up on sudden load change.. I was told never to be on the gas when you land.. I've learned on my own shit it's just like a dirt bike, if you land off or on the throttle you are loading something the wrong way, so depending on your speed it may not matyet as much.. just trying to equalize the speed, so if you get s lot of hang time blip the throttle to make sure the wheel speed it's somewhat matched.. just like a burnout you don't lift off abruptly because the overrrun clutch would likely explode from the sudden stop.. 700s are notorious for breaking the sprag when into a second gear burnout from that lift off. Same thing when jumping the wheels spinning then they're suddenly not.
