I guess it was common, I was thinking I should have kept the power window but since I've fixed the manual regulator I don't mind it so much, I'm just happy to be able to use the tailgate without crawling into the back and using a cordless drill.
 
If any of you guys know where any 1990 bucket seat brackets are can you point me in the right direction. Thanks

How did the rear felt and sweeps turn out? Where did you end up getting them from?

I just did the front windows from 1A Auto and turned out good. A much needed replacement. My windows going up are a bit tight and slower, but I think it will wear in once things get settled more. And as a bonus, I don't have as many rattles in both doors now. A big noise irritation I've had so definitely happier!

Oh, I have some left over brackets for seats....what are you looking for?

I got the rear felt and sweeps from 1A Auto. They turned out great. The topper weatherstripping I also got from 1A Auto. I think everything was top notch, I have no complaints. For some reason I'm not looking forward to doing the doors. I am looking for a set of 1990 bucket seat brackets.
 
The door felt isn't really that bad. You can loosen the bolts that retain each of the railings within the door and carefully lower the window to get felt out. Then gently up and down as needed to get the it all installed correctly. The window glass itself can be pulled out of the channels in order to get everything in properly. Took me about 30 minutes each side to complete.

I haven't been able to find 1A's felt for the two tailgate inner channels. Only see the two sweeps and topper weatherstripping. Am I missing it somewhere on their site?

I got the inner run channels from LMC. Mine were rusted pretty bad and I didn't think I could reuse them. I think USA1 has just the felts for the inner run channels. I think its like 30 bucks for the kit.

Tomorrow is the first day of our deer hunting season and the first time the blazer is going out into the woods. It has been almost two years since I have imaged my grandson and I going out hunting with the blazer. I am totally excited. Just makes me feel good about the time and money I have put into the blazer.
 
I just want to thank CUCV2 for his time for shipping me some bucket seat brackets for my Blazer. Am I correct that with the 87-91 seat brackets I can use just about any GM bucket seats from the late 90's to the early 2000's. Also I have a question about the steering gear I put in a couple of months ago. The unit is an AC Delco remain. It has started to seep a small amount of fluid around the bottom seal where the pitman arm connects. Should I take it back off and get a new one or just live with the small leak? I am not to happy with new unit leaking.

Well went to the local U Pull It and I found a set of bucket seats out of a chevy cavalier. The Windows where up and the windshield wasn't cracked or missing so they are in great shape, it rains a lot here. I also found an auxiliary battery box in an old 1 ton chevy truck they had pushed into the weeds. All their old chevy trucks are scattered about the yard, it was kinda like a treasure hunt.

So you kept the stock seat mounts and then mounted a different seat onto it to keep the OE bolt locations?

You are correct. I see that you have a 1990 blazer as well. If you can find the bucket seat brackets or have them already from an 87 - 91 blazer the brackets will mount just about any seat of that time period. I was worried that the cavalier seats would set to low but to my surprise they are just about the same height as the bench seat the PO had in it. I am very pleased with the outcome, they are 100% better then the old bench seat. When I get them bolted down and the brackets painted I will take some photos. the first storm of the season has hit and its going to be raining for the next 5 days.

Thats wicked info! I have the bucket seats from factory. They just suck by now. I can feel the seats structural on my ass when i sit in them.. Ive seen lots of people swap seats but always had to change the bolt locations.
Im looking foreward to more photos, and im going to start looking for seats from that era now.

Well I have been driving the blazer around the last few days with the new seats and I like them a lot. I hated the bench seat the PO installed. The height is good and the adjustments are awesome. Now its just time to find some seat covers and make a center console. Think I'm going to make the console out of a few ammo cans.
