'94 Dodge service truck DD/Tow rig build

Now time for gauges. I've been eyeballing the Isspro EV gauge kit for my truck. Has the pillar pod, pyro/boost and everything to hook it up for $275 so I'll probably go that route. Seems like good insurance for when I get the TST power pack.

Please tell me you are not going to spend the $200 + on a fuel plate and a boost elbow :doah:
Do some searching on "cumminsforum" or comp diesel and either ditch the plate or grind your own and save some cash :D

I have done quite a bit of research and I liked the idea of a dyno proven package vs. dinking around with it in the driveway hoping I get it all tuned in right. Either way nothing is set in stone, I'll make the final decision after some other mods.

Thats the one I bought , for that price I couldn't see messing with grinding my stock plate.

Another thing to consider is that you can destroy the stock clutch with just the "free Mods" to the pump so turn it up a little bit at a time,

I have mine adjusted to wear it will just puff a little smoke during shifts and a very light haze at WOT under load

What'd you do? Fuel plate and turn the star wheel until you got good acceleration without blowing smoke?

I put in the plate full forward, adjusted the Governor arm, and then I turned the star wheel all the way towards the engine, Then I turned the smoke screw in until it touched the diaphragm and then 3/4's turn more. Then I slid the Housing full forward.

But I am definetly at the max for the stock replacement clutch I can get it to slip in 5th

It only smokes if I lug it down, Normal driving is clean though .

My next phase of mods will be 4000rpm GSK, 60lbs Valve springs,5" turbo back, and setting the pump to 19.5 degrees ......and a south bend Dual disc towing clutch

ya i guess so.

orings or firerings? firering sucks for street application.

for sure. my last 24v only had the cheap ARP 425 studs and orings. It held 80psi boost all day long.

the 24v and the 12v head :waytogo: orings.

I like it, for about $100 worth of spray gun, paint and sanding pads I can definitely live with it. I like flat's so I went with a satin white.
I'm going to do bedliner on the bed/walls and rear bumper for better durability as well as some contrast. It kinda has that fridge on wheels look right now. :)

Nice did you paint it yourself??

Edit: Oops my bad didnt see the caption at the bottom lol. Looks great!!

Huge improvement over the "hillbilly camo" (one truck, with parts from 6 others on it :D) , the paint looks good from here :waytogo:.

Nice man. Makes me want to do mine even more.

Well out of nowhere it started raining today so I left the dodge in the garage just to be safe. I'm sure it's cured by now since it was fairly warm yesterday but just to be safe.
I was looking it over and started thinking about the service bed, what do you guys think about doing bedliner not only in the bed/rear bumper but on top of the boxes as well? They're going to take a beating (I noticed already I set junk on the top a lot) and it'd be like wrapping bedliner over the caps of a regular bed, it just has a really big cap. :)

I think the bedliner on top would look good, but it since you live in a blast furnace it might get really hot lol,

I would use the highest quaility one you could afford if you did. Out in the sun all day, taking a pretty good beating even when the truck is not in use.

But I do think that is a good idea

What he said. Herculiner probably wouldn't be the product of choice here.
