So I didn't get as far as I wanted, it seemed like I hadn't gotten too much done.
@Justin V had the same experience today.
I did get a little paint on the welds on the head pipes, and installed the assembly. I even remembered to install the bung for the O2 sensor!
I did a modified brace for the power steering pump/alternator. I can remove it without removing the pulley and pump. I have heard that some guys just leave this brace off, but I wanted to try and keep some support.
I got the throttle body , spacer and adapter installed, then went to work on a modified throttle cable bracket. .. not done yet... I have to try and figure out how much to lift it with the Edelbrock performer, adapter and 1" TBI spacer. Keeping from having it pull stiff right off of idle is imperative I found out on a different truck.
I now have a fitting for the brake booster vacuum and the heater controls, and it clears the fuel lines!
I sprayed penetrating oil on the body mount bolts on the '90, and after letting it sit for a few hours, all 4 of the ones under the seat area broke loose! Those are the ones that I worry about.
