I just got home from a trip with some "over landing" folks in Maine. In total we covered about 300 miles of backroads with big pot holes (the ord springs were / are life savors), loose rocks, and lots and lots and lots and lots of dust.
Courtney, who takes most of our photos and was signed on as my navigator got overly intoxicated and decided to tell the "over landing" folks that this trip wasn't real off-roading because we were on roads. They didn't find it as amusing as I did

Anyways, we did a bit of our own exploring with led to a few fun mishaps.
This really was an endurance shake down for the old truck. I got a bulge and a split in the sidewall of a new MTR.

My spare is directional so this became a double tire change. My studs and nuts had so much grit in them that I ruined two studs on one hub. I drove about half the trip on my 33 inch directional spare with 4 out of 6 lugs.
My new used radio that Glenn hooked me up with crapped out after a day and a half. I attribute this to either extreme amounts of dust or just all the bone jarring bumps.
A bolt fell out of my steering stabilizer and it got serial crushed by my leaf springs.
I sunk my truck and had to get winched out for about 75 feet, but what else is new
And somehow all of the above made it a totally awesome adventure with all the proper mishaps that make you feel like you're living life on the edge.
Oh, and we also went night wheeling and saw seven Moose in the span of about 2 hours.
I'll apologize again for a shortage of pics. This time it was mostly because I was driving.
