This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy.
And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one

Hahaha trust me one day this will look like twinkie. But until the kid is older i need a sealed cab and functional windows. Dont you worry this is phase one of a many phase project. I want something thats a mix of twinkie and and Horton. i see cage with skins in the future. For now its getting patches

How much do was cut off the doors?
Almost 4" measuring from the outside lip up. i had to cut some off the bottom of the window regulator. I guess i only took about 7" total off.
7" is alot lol. Like going from 33s to 47s!!!!
speaking of tires i'm still looking for a dirt cheap set of used 40ish inch tires..

How many legs/supports do i need? Would 3 per side work or should i do 4? Do i need to plate the frame?

I haven’t built mine yet but I would think more is better in that case.
4 one on each and and two in the middle and yes you need to plate the frame. What I did which is a copy of Eric's

I just put em where they looked right. 4 on each side. My sliders are likely similar in length.
any rule saying that the plating has to be a diamond like you guys did it? i ask because my legs will be right on the bottom of the frame. @blazinzuk @kgblazerfive
I did it to spread the weld stresses on the frame. Not really needed but it also looks nicer.
Its funny these stupid legs are where im stuck... once i get these on there i can wrap this sucker up...
just find some 4x4 or 5x5 plates and turn them on a 45 degree angle, burn them in. Make sure to pull your fuel lines away from the frame before you do that.
