PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
Is that a locking clip on the plug you'd need to operate to insert / remove?

if you can keep part of that lower grill valance in place it will retain more rigidity.

Yeah id like to keep as much as possible.

Another idea...
Id just need to plug in from under the bumper. But looks like most people need to do that anyways

I am ok with moving the plug and extending plug wires. I dont want to extend or swap out the large gauge wires... my only real concern with taking the plug out of that box is exposing everything to the environments

From this guys picture it seems like there is a bunch of room to mount it how i have it and plenty of room to plug it in...
His is the 15.5.
Another guy mounted his dead center on the back at the tallest point and he said it clears everything. I think mine woukd hit my power steering cooler.

Some guys are saying it will fit mounted like this. Sorry guys just playing theory builder in my head until i can actually work on my truck:(

I built a couple brackets and mounted the box for my winch in between the lower valance and core support, then just mounted the plug in between the two, with a gasket between the valance and box. It worked out nicely for my truck.

You can see it by the plate through the grille...

now that i am one step closer to throwing a 241 in my truck i have a couple questions. 1.are the transmission mounts the same? the one that is under the 241 is roached so its hard to tell. 2. are the crossmembers the same? (they look the same but i took it anyways) 3. Are the 208 and 241 tcases the same length? I am wondering if i could slap the 241 in before i get the SYE kit and just run it? if i have to modify the driveline it wouldn't be worth my time.

last and most important question... where would you guys get a SYE kit? I know ORD has one but sometimes i find them to be on the very expensive side...

I switched from a 208 to 241 and I'm pretty sure the crossmembers and length were the same.

I can't remember off the top of my head where I got my SYE, but it's listed in my thread. I can look for it later if needed.

looks like you got it from JB conversions. i wonder if it matters if you have a passenger drop or driver drop tcase. their pics are all driver drop. i just wonder if the position of the sensor is different

Shouldn't matter because you'll be reusing your tail housing anyway.
