PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
2 guys showed up today and worked on the windshield for 2 hours.... they got it in but one corner is sunk in... they said "give it a couple days in the sun and it will stretch and even out....
No its not a dent, no there was no body damage or repair done there. Gasket is not pinched, I can stick something behind it and pull it up.
I'm not sure what to think... I guess I'll give it a few days like they said....

A little warmth from a heat gun would probably make it lay down good but I’d be afraid of doing that with the new paint.

Oh it's plenty warm out in the beautiful Utah sunshine! At least it has been, this week's a little nicer from the rain we finally got.

Anyone know of a thread on here talking about 2 post lift options or anyone have advice on a decent 2 post lift for home shop use? I'd like something I can lift my duramax with but not break the bank.

Don’t settle for a 9k. 10,000lb capacity all the way. Mine did pick up my Cummins powered Ram crew cab. Truck weighs in at 8,700lb and did not strain a bit.

It’s a Bendpak. Can’t remember the model. But this one was made in 2016. I bought it second hand. It’s 10k symmetrical, not asymmetrical.
With the research I’ve done, they all seem to be China made. Even some of the new Bendpak units are that way, just painted up with their decal and a higher price tag.
If you can’t find a good one second hand, I would suggest purchasing from a reputable distributor. That way if there is a warranty issue, they can be there to help.

Yeah when I search I get so many results with so many price ranges im not even sure where to start

For what it’s worth, I paid $1500 for mine second hand. That is the going price of the cheapest Lift you can find on the internet, but little more than half the price of a new Bendpak.
My thoughts, I wouldn’t want to be standing under an expensive 8,000lb truck being held on the air by the cheapest lift on the market.

@ktmoutfront is in the process of getting ready to install a lift. He's also having to do some upgrades to the concrete so support the lift.

Brand new BendPak 10k. I have always rebuilt used lifts. This is my last one ever. Had to cut 4'x6' areas out of my badly cracked slab. 8000 plus pounds of concrete to be poured under each post. Should support whatever.

I paid $2600 for my 2nd hand Rotary 12k lift. Felt like it was a pretty good deal.
I’d say that was a good deal as well. 12k capacity, and Rotary is top of the line.

Yep. Concrete is something to consider. I was able to plan for a lift before concrete was poured. So I made it thicker where I knew the legs would be. For added peace of mind if nothing else.
