Also got the new ord extended brake hosers installed after carefully routing the hard lines back up and under the engine cross member. Here's the style end that came on my harness for knock sensors that I need to sort out

I had the temp sensor on the passenger side head on mine fall apart too. Kinda sucks, but such is life.

You are making great progress...keep it up
Gonna try my hand at soldering the molex ends back on now but I'm a welder not a Solder guy haha

Its just gas welding really

Do you have flux core electrical solder? Sometimes that works better. Having said that i use regular solder and flux too

I have some regular Solder I use for sweating pipe was just gonna Flux the ends Im just woried about them fusing together and I'm not sure if the sensor works anyhow

Here's an example of my ridiculous OCD, I snuck down to my neighbors garage where I'm storing the k5 atm and stole my gold fuel filter and swapped it with a red anodized one that I couldn't find at the time of the k5 build part 1. It's the same and nobody would notice but I know it's got a red one to match the rest of the red jewelry on it. :haha::sign9:

Yesterday was another busy day with little to show. The red box is the new wiper harness that was completely melted together amongst other wires I had to clean up. Removed all the factory cruise stuff, (I'm still amazed they used a photo eye)and diesel warning harness. Installed the new pedal using grip-certs have to figure out where I want the three control boxes. The dakota box has 2 since I'm using the obd2/can interface. I need to find the cleanest route to get turn signal. Also bundled all the wires back out the top of the fuse panel neatly bc that was a rats nest. Also need to figure our just which wires are still required from the ingine harness on the firewall. I need the ignition wire back in the cab for the new vortec harness.

Got the fender wells back in, rad shroud in and trimmed as it is offset passenger 1". Intake is fit with some old spectra El cheaper filter off my old Silverado for now but it fits neatly between the battery and factory coolant bottle that still needs a bracket for the lower foot.

So this is a stainless works 3" mandrel kit for a k10 regular cab, long bed that I figured would give me a head start so after some extention in length and 5" tips I cut at 30* to help clear the dual wheels a bit more. This was still a daunting task and I'd like to ad more mount points/hangers.

I guess I need to mention I torture myself with stainless steel a lot for no good reason. It's always around from previous projects so I used some to whip up the ecm mount using the factory cradle. Fits nice around the washer bottle with room for the trunk harness under.

So after a lot of loose ends tied up today the bed is back down to cab level with all 8 support points (only 6 before) the front bumper and hood are back on and adjusted. It looks like a truck again! Have some electrical issues with the headlamps or lack there of. I'm cooked for the day

Snuck out to the shop before any trickers came! Had to get a new trans cooler, the old one had a split from removal and storage. Also talked to Kurt today about a d70hd disc brake swap since I need to do the axle seals and a slave cylinder anyhow. He gave me a Dorman part number for brake hoses that I can't seem to track down. Well see how I fare sourcing the rotors

How come you didn't paint the firewall and inside the fenders and wheel wells while it was all apart?
