I guess I just like to paint everything when I have the best chance to always. Even if it's a crappy rattle can job.Because rusty fenders still tow blazers as good a painted ones??
I agree. Maybe be couldn't afford spray cans after he bought that Magnum?I guess I just like to paint everything when I have the best chance to always. Even if it's a crappy rattle can job.
I thought that as I was reassembling, and honestly I didn't want to open the can of worms that is my OCD. If I were to start that I would had to tare everything apart from the heater box and column etc. I don't wanna get too crazy with the asethecis on this truck yet as it's going to be used as one. I'll probably go back and do it laterHow come you didn't paint the firewall and inside the fenders and wheel wells while it was all apart?
Your not alone brother. I'm not a fan of patina. Just looks like a old clunker to me. No matter how badass the vehicle really is.You know this reminds me I was thinking the other day if I see someone elses rusty "patina" truck I think how cool it is with its rusty character. Yet if it was mine it bothers me to no end. I try to remind myself that I think it's cool old truck character. So it's best if I just don't look at it.
and thats exactly why BUDGET BEATER is NOT getting any body work or paint . all 100% real life crusty paint pealing history n its bodyYou know this reminds me I was thinking the other day if I see someone elses rusty "patina" truck I think how cool it is with its rusty character. I see you cut the bottoms off the tidy cat buckets too. Here's an example of my ridiculous OCD, I snuck down to my neighbors garage where I'm storing the k5 atm and stole my gold fuel filter and swapped it with a red anodized one that I couldn't find at the time of the k5 build part 1. It's the same and nobody would notice but I know it's got a red one to match the rest of the red jewelry on it.

They're just the rite size!I see you cut the bottoms off the tidy cat buckets too.
Trying to avoid a frame off restoration lolThat snowball effect creates problems for me as well. While the engine is out I'll upgrade to a better trans, then box the frame, repaint the chassis, repaint the cab............ Ended up parting out my old crew cab because of that (just got burned out from not being able to drive the truck). So 1 thing at a time nowadays

If you cut the lid off at the crease it makes a killer dust pan. They're just the rite size!
Blew the valley gaskets last time out so I parked it to finish thisWhy don't you drive it?
