That was what I was thinking. The dimple holes should be small enough to not make much difference imo. And, if I'm being honest, I really want to use my dimple die set. :P
All the grief you give me for wanting dimple dies and here you are yearning to make some speed holes…
 
I finished the skid plate, for now.

Bolts in from the side so I don't catch them on anything. The angle on the back matches the fuel tank and will bolt to the rear bumper once that is built.

The dimples really made a difference in stiffness. After all the dimples and welding the plate had a bow in it. I tried to flatten it by lowering the truck onto it, bit it wouldn't budge. I ended up having to drop my camp trailer on it to get it flat.

Now to decide what color to paint it...
 
I like black better and I’d be after lighter colors would show stains/wear faster but the tan works well because of the wheels.
