This will be the last I work on it for about a week, I'm glad I got this done before taking off for a week.....going to the 4 wide drags in Charlotte, and hook up with some of the brothers from down there.
When I get back I need to put some serious time in on the Vette, to get that on the road again.

Hey Fred, I used a light coat of zinc chromate on the bare iron, then a few coats of this aluminum:
It holds up well to anything but brake or carb cleaner, and flows out pretty good, especially after a couple coats. Dries quick, and doesn't run easily.
Picked it up at Tractor Supply.
CORRECTION:
The Chevy orange was dupli-color, the Aluminum was Rustoleum, both from Tractor supply.
Looks bad ass man, keep at it! 
I wish I was that far....still have some things to figure out on the engine before fire up...serp system, breather/pcv system, headers...and on and on...but I did get the sucker set in the frame today...

They're decent road tires but they'll let you down in the goup real quick.

They were...decent on our HMMWV's for road use and the little bit of gravel and sand, hill climbing and 2 tracking sorta wheeling I did with a HMMWV. Their sidewalls aren't super strong and in anything goupy they have a reputation for not being stellar.

Yes!! If this was a poll. I did`nt think the 39 tsls were that much bigger than the 37 goodyears.

as was said,those tires were not that great on the humvees i drove in the army off road.we wer mostly in sand and it was alright but in the rocks had not much grip.the bias was much better off road,but road like crap onroad.so it was a tradeoff either way.id stick to the tsls for off roading and if you like changeing tires the oz for on road driving.those tsl are definitely huge compared to the 37s.crazy size difference.
the size is the thing that I don't want to give up too. I think the 37's would get a little bigger when aired up, but they sure won't be a 39.5-15 TSL as pictured.
I'll probably keep em and try them out a few times anyway, maybe on road, and sand. They suck other than that I guess.

The tsl's look killer but they are less than desirable on the highway. I ran 38's for a while and couldn't get them to balance for chit.
What kind of beads? I've used Innovative Balancing products before with good results...except my bias ply HMMWV's...but those were about unbalanceable.
Got the L&L Headers today....unboxed them and here's what we got:
All the goods from the box...Nickle coated headers, collector reducers, catalog, a few stickers, header flange gaskets, reducer gaskets, bolt set for heads, bolt set for flanges, can coozie, instruction set...w/ lifetime guarantee.
The head flange is surface ground to ensure flatness at each port. There is a little difference in the flange, but holding a straigtedge up to the ports they look pretty flat with each other.
The craftsmanship of the tubes welded to the head flange
The collector flange surface ground flat
Some green lime? buildup on the tube...there was a few spots of this what looks to be calcium? or something on the headers
It cleaned off pretty good with some Neverdull wadded polishing compound
If a person was so inclined they would probably polish up pretty shiny with some elbow action...this was quickly done with the Neverdull.

Those are some nice headers. But how about that coozie?
Yeah, no ****, what about the coozie? The most important part!
Just make sure they didn't put powder in your tires to use as a balancing agent. They use that on big rigs where the tires never get aired down and it works. Not so great for 4x4 guys.
