Me too man GO ZIM!!!!
Get it together we will go over everything after everyday just to double check things Dave.
Anything you want me to bring to the bash that could ease a major problem?
thanks for the backup guys, it really does mean alot, and gives me more ambition to get it done.
Eric my majors are the trans and brakes right now....gotta make sure it go's and stops, then the skidplates, which I have steel for, but gotta fab em up.
I'm going to bring along my undersize spare, and rim, figure we can mount it there if I don't get to it here, and got some tire repair plugs and kit, extra plugs, and 3 cans of ether, a bucket and need to bring a butane torch to light em off. Should I bring my hi-lift, or a bottle jack????
The trans guy said I need a drum, and he's having a hard time finding it today, but he should be able to get one pronto tomorrow. I wish I would have asked him which one for sure, but I assume he means the forward/reverse unit drum. Also said the assembly looked good except for......ready?
The outer seal on the forward apply piston had a cut in it.
I also took him a 4x4 case I aquired to put it all back into.
So I know he wants to head out to Indy tomorrow for the US nats, so I'm sure he'll get on it ASAP.
In other news, I got everything ready as possible to put the trans, doubler, crossmember, driveshafts, shifters, etc back in hopefully without to much hassle.
Also got a couple brake lines and the APV for the rear brakes mounted.
I need to check my Vette m/c for piston bore, and if its not at least 1.125 I think I need to go with a different m/c, from what I hear it's just not enough volume to feed the D60 calipers and K20's on the back. I thought I would try a 99 2500 m/c but don't know if the bolt pattern is the same???
