Gotta say it was a crappy weekend.. Getting those radius arms welded and mounted up and being able to just see some progress, aside all the other crap that happened made today pretty good.

There was a gnarly wind storm yesterday morning, it had to be blowing 60-80 mph and just picked up my barn and tossed it into the fence and power poll. My wife was instantly hesterical. I never ever want to hear her scream like that again. Thank God the horses are fine and got out ok. We have good insurance so we can rebuild.

It took me and 6-8 guys three hours and we had it completely taken down.

image.jpeg Edison just left and the pole is straight now. Lots of lessons learned here as far as securing these large structures. Based on a convo my dad and I had, it will require 10k lbs of concrete to keep a barn this size from flyin away again..

sheesh, that really sucks.. at least nobody got hurt... the beams look cool tho!

Thanks guys, appreciate the good thoughts.
If this week goes as planned, I should have shock hoops and possibly the engine cage started or done :) at least that's my goal anyway.

BTW, I was not far from you, at my parent's in Joshua Tree over the holiday. The wind was absolutely howling. I swear I heard the house creaking and groaning. Must have been the one that got you guys.

That is right! It was really bad. Next time your around shoot me a message maybe we can meet up.

These are not 100% done, we ran out of argon. I'll go back and add some more gusseting near the end and in the middle so if it hits a rock the arm doesn't fold. I also have the tabs for the frame made but still need to make a platform for it. I'm going to reinstall the steering before I go any farther to be sure nothing changed.

Thanks man, I'm just persistent and my wife is cool so I get a lot of time to spend on this. Your turbo though! I'm jealous of your hair dryer!
