Those are f150, what’s the deal with thunderbird calipers? You go with the thunderbird brake calipers or stock F150 stuff? Just curious
Yay for limit tool Fab..... Amazing what you can do with hardly anything if you want it done.
Nice progress. Cool that you switched up projects and still ended up getting a lot done.![]()

Mines from a 1984 f1shitty. This has a 2 inch piston same as the back gm caliper. We’ll see how it works, easy enough to change if it’s the wedge mount. What year brakes are you using? On the 70's ford stuff Thunderbird calipers bolt into the same place as a stock F150 caliper and offer a much larger piston (over 2x larger i wanna say) and improved braking. I SAS'ed my 1993 F150 wheeling rig using a 1978 ford 44 and with the thunderbird calipers it has no braking issues whatsoever unlike my friends 1978 F150 which stops "ok." Both trucks are on 35's, they use the same pads and rotors but does take a goofy fitting for the line. There are a few good write-ups I could likely find the one I used.
Look at me over here talking ford stuff![]()
Waaat wow that’s pitiful!Oh you're good then! 70's were 1 3/8", because that was a good idea who needs brakes
Good idea I’ll report backYou drink beers through a straw while you weld?
Asking for a friend

I believe that may be too light, double up on the RayBans should do the trick. Safety First!!combined with this
