I needed to move the box forward some, but wasn’t sure exactly how much or at what angle.
So I went one hole at a time, used the existing hole to hold the box in, hacked the frame and plopped in a 4130 boltsleeve on the remainder 3 holes once I had drilled the other holes into the frame with my unibit.

I had the servo go that powered my hydraulic rack on my 1 car.

Shit gets wild when you loose complete power assist at 90 mph, had it been full hydro it would’ve really been a bad day.

Box mounts look good

Thanks man!!

Been busy this morning, got the box bolted up and the arm back on and somehow by accident it fits!! I don’t have to alter what I already built!! So I can continue on building my steering tie rods and get the front donnneee..

Now I prob won’t run it this way because I am not sure the rag joint would hold up, i extended the steering shaft and it actually fit also lol, i greased up the column bearing which coincidentally was still intact.

Yeah rag joint no beano

I’m not sure how I feel about this.. the fenders are for the newer front end. I’m tempted to adapt the old core support to keep the round lights but use the pinched front style hood and fenders to kind of mix it up.. thoughts?? Currently there is a decent mismatch on the headlight area where the 70s core support is not lining up. 82A98BF9-C4EC-4FB6-9497-971667364E16.jpeg8860B3A7-E5CE-4533-A806-3B7AED7C8625.jpegAB67BAE1-8CF2-4AE3-9A38-F487A9127850.jpeg6F17603D-23D5-40D5-BB46-7B0855388242.jpeg

Well that was never a question I just wasn’t sure how to combine the look kinda like this. See how the fender is pinched vertically?

So is it normal to use poly bushings in the steering idler pivots for those style steering setups? I would think solid bushings would be better there considering what it does but maybe it isn't enough give to matter?

Those are delrin. I would not use poly.

Been working on this on and off lately. Just ordered the brake fittings to properly seal up vs using a banjo bolt.
Once that’s done I can actually bleed and test my brakes :gasp!:
I did order a replacement set of trans cooler hard lines and will be adapting that to my external trans cooler.
Only added variable I have added is the steering column it totally fubar so I am deciding on how to proceed. Might fab up a custom adjustable column to fit the many different potential drivers. @secutright @retroblazer and @jkroberts are all height deficient so I have to accommodate them with booster seats and pedal extensions.

A buddy of mine showed me one of these the other day, apparently these are commonly used on drag racing cars? I'd never seen one before but it was pretty cool, expensive, but cool.

Yeah common to use a coupler on rail jobs. Still a lot of flaming river style, but seen a few

@LNielson did you collect your January $$ of the month?
