Eastbound and Down
Go for it. Already plenty of people with ugly avatars.
That’s my favorite of the sloped nose single headlight rigs tooI like the grill on mine. It's an 89 but I feel like the it's the same as the one you're talking about.

I like it better than the 84 grill I had on the K5. I did "upgrade" the bowtie to larger, newer version.
… Reminds me of a modern take of my 78 grill. 81/82 singles would be the least favorite but still not as ugly as any new GM truck
. 83/84 are my favorites of the quad light rigs. My 85 K5 will be wearing one of those faces
See above. That's the one.So what grill are you using?
See above. That's the one.
I like the Silverado 4 headlight look, but after driving mine at night so many times I'm willing to change for better lights. Honestly, I could strap a couple of led mag lights to the hood Roadkill style and have better output. Pitiful.
. Night time is for drinking beers anyway
i don't disagree. I swapped that clip on my truck back in the late 90s before it was the cool thing to do.See above. That's the one.

True point. But I do drive this truck other times of the year beyond the desert trip. You could do like Ian and I do......don't drive in the dark!. Night time is for drinking beers anyway

Sometimes I drive it to work, which depending on the time of year could be in the dark. i don't disagree. I swapped that clip on my truck back in the late 90s before it was the cool thing to do.
The lights are terrible. I would flip on my KC daylighters... the problem with that was the light wash on the hood was terrible.
So it wasn't the correct solution, just the solution I had as a teenager.
Shouldn’t you be playing gopher? That hydro-boost looks good in there. When finished this thing is gonna be such a big step up from the old 75!
Totally. Can't wait. I get to learn how to drive off road with a manual again. That hydro-boost looks good in there. When finished this thing is gonna be such a big step up from the old 75!
My Dad is on the way to pick him up and bring him to Canon as I type this. Executive express service in a SS trailblazer.Shouldn’t you be playing gopher?
Buying the truck was great but still not as cool as bench racing with your dad on the way down. As a couple of lifelong Colo gearheads we had a lot of shared memories, everything from cruising the Scotsmen on north Federal in the 60s/70s to all of our old junkyard adventures and car cruises. It was a great day. Thanks again Rob and please tell your dad if he ever needs anything I will be there in a flash. My Dad is on the way to pick him up and bring him to Canon as I type this. Probably better run it through the bigassgas garage and make use of that spare bigblock you got laying around.Made it to Denver Sat and picked up the core support from Ron. Hung out with my parents and went up to Erie to pick up the fenders. One ended up having more rot than we anticipated so he's going to swap it out this week.
On the way back to my folks near old town Arvada my little parts hauler decided to kill a wheel bearing on the left front. Got AAA to haul it to my parents house and borrowed the SS to be able to get home and go to work. Urgh.

Easy now killer, it's just a wheel bearing.Probably better run it through the bigassgas garage and make use of that spare bigblock you got laying around.![]()
Ok rob. No fun.Easy now killer, it's just a wheel bearing.
I'm not screwing up the one vehicle in my fleet that consistently gets 24 mpg or better when I drive 90 miles a day round trip for work. Some days it sucks being an adult or else I would have already done that.
