PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
I think once you hit that magic 40" size things snowball. When running 37s i always had a spare with room for tools. If i dont run a back seat I'd be fine but no passengers...
I think for my upcoming trip I'll keep the spare at camp and carry plugs. Maybe I'll design a rack in the back that can hold a 40 at an angle.... I just need to ensure i have room for a carseat on future trips. I also need to design around cage ideas

Other than the added weight and height up top, I'd totally do a roof rack for the spare on top of the cab. Realistically you hopefully won't need access to it hardly ever. It would be totally out of the way and you could integrate in some light mounts on the rack. Getting it up and down might be fun but like I said hopefully you won't need it very often.

I was totally onboard with the roof mount idea. Like you pointed out the only issue i see is where the weight is.

Swap out for bucket seats and move them forward a few inches. More cargo room. More secured passengers and car seat still works. Cage it all and call it a day
Thats a decent idea. Just need to find a good way to execute

Stinger time...
Also access door for the fuel pump :) (sending unit seal leaks and i have a bent line coming right off the top of the sender so its a good time to add the access door)

What days will you be out with them?
I will be getting there Saturday night and leaving Friday morning. So i'll be doing the the trails from Sunday- Thursday and then hopefully running a couple of other trails on the down days. I need to go do Gold bar rim to visit Mr. Payne but that is not on the schedule until Friday for them. So hopefully someone will run it with me during the other days or I'll head out there myself. I'm sure there will be plenty of other vehicles out there that week.

Eventful day today. so let's start with my sending unit. I finally got the sending unit access hatch installed. I didnt want to drop the tank and I needed to replace the sender so I figured now was the time to cut my truck up.

Pictures of measurments in case anyone needs them.

Does anyone know what supposed to connect to the t coming off the breather/vent? I wonder if that's why I keep getting a gas smell in the cab....
