thanks!,if you let your burb rust for a couple of years, you´ll have a good starting point:haha:mine was beyond rust repairs, drastic things were needed, and here we are...

There is no rust on it. But there will be a time when I can't fit through the trails, And will need to do this to be able to fit.

to windy outside for any welding, but I got some stuff done anyway.

springpads ready to go on,and some pipe to fit the new shackle bushings,it´s nice to have your own lathe.

welded the reardoors into a hatch, far from done, but you get the idea,I will do the hinges, and the wheelwells before the final design takes place.

here you see a glimpse of the design, tried to remove as much excess material as possible, dont need any extra pounds of deadweight to haul around,it´ll be heavy enough.plans include cutting out the center pillar, and put in a single backglass.

didn´t get much done today, finished up the bushings, and cut a hole in the frame for the new bushing.we´ll see if the weather permits any outdoorwelding tomorrow, now I´m going to run trough the shower, and go to a party :O)

Looks awesome, I now know what mine will look like on 47's :pimp:

rain stopped the work early today...

drivers side done.

and that´s how far I got on the pass side before the "humidity" got to much.

Man you should get a ton of droop out of that setup!! are you gonna use some sort of limit straps so the shackles don't bind against that crossmember on full droop?

Looking at it again I doubt it would droop that far, shocks would probably limit it

been fiddling with the hatch and tank today,no real progress, the tank took more space to fit than I remembered, but it looks ok now.will post pic´s when there´s any visible progress.

swedester, this is coming along pretty good, liking the mock up/set up routine your going through, good ideas.
looking badass man!
