It really doesn't ride bad! After 5 miles the flat spots are round. It does Howell like a mother forker though!

So the seller sent me a 240-33 ohm fuel guage that obviously wouldn't work so now that I got a 0-90 ohm guage I put it in an accel pod (I love these and you can see them on every project I have haha). Since it's sacrilege to drill holes in the dash usually, I tried to utilize the Swiss chess that was already my lower dash from the p/ō.
I did have to drill a fresh hole next to the switch for the little led pod I got to indicate pump "on" and it matches the red tinted back light of the vdo guage.
I already transferred the fuel out on the last trip so I'll have to test the float later but at least it's where it belongs for empty.

So far I've pinned out the o2 sensors and they're correct. Gotta pin out the ecm next. If it's correct, unfortunately I'll have to send the ecm back to Howell for replacement

Funny you should ask I've been scouring the web for ideas lately. If I stay with the 16's I may have to drop back to a 285/70r16 that's only 33x11 or jump to a dodge 17" steely thatle only give me a 285/75r17 that's 34x11.3. If I get bread truck 19.5 steel wheels I can get a 35x11 but they are about $500 ea
I'd like to keep this look and it doesn't perform too terribly but they do flat spot pretty bad and howl like a mfer. There's some other bias tires in this size but I'd be looking at the same issues. So I dunno where to go from here
Yeah that 285/70R19.5 is a good size but my tire guy I used to have in Moab told me they are damn near impossible to find out here at least. There is a 9.00-16 that I think is like 35" tall but they only come in the old school looking farm tires. Better just do some custom wheels and spacers and you could maybe run like a 37/12.50. I think you could even fit them with just some aftermarket dually wheels and a spacer between the rears. Or dump some money on 10 lug adapters and just jump to some 11R22.5 semi tires and run them with like 60 psi in them. They would be horrible off road but good for the highway.

Yea i don't want aftermarket wheels I like the look of the steel wheels. That's why I'd consider the 17 or 19.5. Really the 19.5 would be my best bet but $3k is a lot of money for new sneakers!
12.5" is just too wide for the 6" wheels and even though I fabricate I'm not comfortable with widening the wheels. There just really isn't anything out there tire wise for guys that want to stay with ooem wheels. It's hardly worth buying the 17s for only 1" more tire than what I can fit on the 16". 33" tires look a bit tiny after havin these boggers. Once you go burly boggers ya never go back?
