Well, they were dogs because 2 cylinders were missingthem old uniform trucks and potato chip and bread trucks had 4cyl cummins bt engines and th400 and they were dogs . so i dont want to think about the 5.9 engine combo .

I’d unhook the battery, just in case ****ery was the cause
Yea I thin od is going to be a definite problem when I get that farI mean, if you really wanted a 3 speed auto, your best bet would probably be to find a first first gen setup with the 727. I had an 89 12 valve with that trans, took it on a few road trips. It had 3.07 gears and did a respectable 100 km/h on the highway, but that was still spinning pretty damn high
Hood ornament survived. That's a sign. Thanks for all the love guys I'm already lookin for a cab. Maybe I'll make it a round eye. Fairly certain I'll be pulling the drivetrain to swap a 6bt/cummins/nv4500 if not for anything but simplicity. I'm really done with software.

I should probably get some extguishers. I got nothing. If this happened at my place it would be a panic to get water especially in winter when a hose isn't readily available.

I didn't want to get in a funk over this, if I started to ruminate on how much work and money I have into this it would cause a downward spiral. I already battle pretty serious depression. It was a good way to keep my head in check to start over. I have thought about keeping the smoke on the hood ornament so well see if I can preserve it.You're recovering from this well, much faster than I have. Mine burnt to a crisp a year and a half ago, and I still haven't gotten back into wrenching. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I needed some time off. I'm almost ready, though. Starting to get that itch again.

PCS makes good stuff. GM uses them for their ready to run crate motors and trans. All the same, I kindly place my vote for a primitive mechanical setup with a rowboat for a trans. It’s 180* from where you came, and a whole new adventure.
+1You can get the Magnum in a variety of different input spline counts.

Do you recall what you had to change to run it? Did the industrial injection work?Nice score! Shouldn't be too big of a deal to use it. My Ford I used to have had an industrial cummins.
It was built by a guy that owns a performance diesel shop way back. Then a few other guys had it then me. It had been tuned and modified.Do you recall what you had to change to run it? Did the industrial injection work?
