You could put power and ground to the circuit at the connector and see if they work. That will isolate if it's inside the cab or in the front clip harness.
Well that’s pretty much what I’m doing with the test light. Honestly I think the problem could be in the column but only the high beams are controlled by the stalk

Man, I hate and love to read this, I'm not alone! I'm struggling with a sudden loss of headlights and taillights on my 91. I need to check to see if I have high beams, I hadn't thought about checking them. I need to check my fusible link going to the bulkhead.

Definitely let me know if you get it figured out, this was a dedicated plow truck so I don’t know if the wiring was ramped for that reason or not

Just occurred to me you meant the dimmer switch on the column and not the dimmable headlamp switch. So I ordered one.

Finished hooking up the rad fans since the Merrimack ends came in and wouldn’t ya know the fitech is controlling them just fine! This is another non functional when the fitech was in the k5 so that’s good. Also located the fuel gurgle signal wire on the dash and tied the new sender to it and that works. Unfortunately I tore a bunch of old wires out and if I remember correctly the oil psi worked but it does not now:dunno:

First time indoors in a year! I started a full service on it and a thorough goin over. It’s heartbreaking how bad the surface of the frame is and some of the cab supports from being a plow truck.
The engine is new and so is the th400 and np205 according to the receipts I found in the totes. All the u joints, bushings and bearings are tight n right. This truck was ridin hard but well maintained. The gear oil in the 205 is still fresh.

So everything was going well until the plugswhich really didn’t need changed but I had them so I dove in.
As you can see the rust builds up in the heads as well and once I got to #2 on the passenger side the plug crumbles apart.
It took ever trick I had up my sleeve to get this out. Soaking, I made a couple pointed chisels and punches , map gas heat , and even fired the engine with the dead hole. Finally got it to break loose. That was stressful and I decided the last 3 plugs will be left for another day

Man that's spooky having to run an easy out into the plug like that. Did you put the shop vac up to the hole to get any debris that fell in the hole?

d I was very careful to chip out the porcelain in small amounts till I got down to the bottom so fingers crossed as I think this engine is relatively new

There's been a couple times in the past where a plug has broke on me like that. I just started them up and both times all of the porcelain blew out on it's own. I don't remember if I had to rev them up or not.
