I guess I'm slow... what the heck is the original application for that aluminum wheel? Also, how to get air into the inside dual when there's no hand holes?
It’s the inner wheel for those new fancy wheels but I hope to be able to get between the tires if not I’ll have to pull the outside set

The tapered likely seat won't let the lube get to the threads. Can you get some lube inside the cylinder from the intake side? You'd have to make sure that intake valve is open.

I gotta have 4 days into polishing this bird tird. Cut the old flex plate and transferred the weight to the 8.1 Allison flex plate. The new water pump was missing a boss for the p/s tensioner. Also transferred the housing on the ps pump to the 8.1 ps pump to see if it works better with the hydro boost. I’m not ready to drop another G on a PSC pump and resi.
The tps kit came with a lame-o spectra kick down bracket so I threw that in the recycle bin and ordered a better chinesium throttle bracket and kick down.

Unfortunately the output housing is set back several months in r&d so I’ll be installing the trans as is and not utilizing any of the low ranges until it’s available and I’ll have to drop the trans again. I need my tow rig back but not the low range as much

Happily married, had to massage the Allison dust cover to accommodate the old style starter nose.
Managed to re-shim the idler without pulling the shift fork! Most of y’all know the pleasures of the dreaded roll pins. Pretty stoked on my new kanukistanian/nwf billet functional jewelry. Won’t hurt with the doubler in place. No I’m not painting the case :D

Had some of those spark plug wire looms for my old Pontiac 400. Nice but necessitated me custom cutting a set to length.

Yea we’ll see how they hold up the metal feels like trash and the plastic blocks are above the heat of the headers so time will tell

So a pretty lengthy update. I wanted to wait until I made a larger stride. That was achieved, it’s resembling my truck again.
I hate that I had to hillbilly the cab on but if it works it ain’t stupid.
Had to upgrade the nsbu switch to the cheaper more modern one to match the harness. If anyone is in need they can have the old switch for shipping it’s supposed to be really expensive now.
Fuel lines and trans lines are jacketed. Vents and fluid level lines rnr’d. Trailer wiring and tail lighting rerouted and wrapped. I figured where the tailight harness melted off I’d junction a weatherpak connection as well as junction’s for the fuel pumps and separate senders.
As for the firewall (I painted it while it was out unlike last time lol) I patched some holes and made some clearance on the pinch welds from memory for the Allison dipstick. It took a lot of persuasion to make everything jive in that area. The cab mounts will all need replaced eventually but I did one for now. Once I have my lift set up I’ll pull the cab and address those.

So I put the stock budd wheels and tires on that I picked up before I decided to change wheels they’ll look funny fifth the 6” lift but the wheels are being machined and powdercoated then I gotta find tires (yikes$$$)

Oh this set of chrome budd wheels as well as two more fronts and one more rear chrome wheels without tires on them are available fur sail. I can get you tire sizes if necessary and the wheels are 16” not 16.5
