I'm watching, just waiting to see more about beams. Not exactly sure how they work completely but curious about tech!

I have no interest in ever having a 2WD truck myself and I still read it regularly.

I actually had a lot more fun running the dunes in 2wd the last month or so I have been up there.

Instead of the front end grabbing and pulling itself down over whoops and bumps, it actually floats the front end in 2wd. Its a weird feeling when you compare the two, but its a lot of fun.

Just not so much when its really hot out and you know the tranny is working twice as hard to get the big heavy pig moving.

I'm watching. The forum has been slow since the upgrade. Lots of people don't check as often due to tapatalk not working and using the phones browser brings the suck.

Thats your front eye mount leaf springs, if you go links up front it won't do that(or maybe put the shackles in front and mount the leaf eyes in the rear like a Jeep, but that brings other issues), 4 wheel drive actually feels smoother when you accelerate then. Although 2WD is a lot of fun too. I like it just because its fun to fish tail around and its like driving a different vehicle, so its fun to switch it up.

I'll be watching as long as you don't do one of those newer fiberglass front ends (gmt400) like in some of those photos....
Can't wait to see the stance when done.... And lsx power.....

Thanks guys that's motivation! And it'll stay this body style no updating the front end I love my round headlights.

Sorry guys, been having issues with my image hosting. Here is a pretty cool update.

I tacked up my final beam pivot brackets, I also got my steering in what I think is close to what should work. We'll see when I start to cycle the suspension.
image.jpg This is how the angles work in relation to the chassis.

Here is the front, you can see how the steering must follow the pivots to work properly.

Here is full droopski, all 23 inches of it! Absolutely insane! I actually sat looking at it for like 20 mins.. Wow just wow. It's finally coming together. I'll get it welded up this coming week.

Who doesn't love a square body..

Thanks. And I dunno about that but I do keep the templates for everything, I have no issue sharing this with anyone. Send me a pm if interested.

So what will the up travel be? Man that should soak up the bumps when out dune running or even desert running.
