PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
So now that im running 40s , hydro assist and a front locker, what spare parts should i bring with me? I have a spare ujoint and fluids

I carry my old locking hubs after upgrading to the yukons, a belt, u joints, u joint straps, I'd like to get extra hoses for my hydro assist to carry, spare tire, hose clamps, jb weld, an assortment of wire and connectors, 2 inch ratchet straps in case you need to get creative with something, I'm sure a handful of other things I can't think of, and tool wise a buddy told me only work on your rig at home with the tools you carry so you don't realize you're missing something at a bad time.

Oh no pb has a new leak!!
Tell me.... is the inner axle seal worth doing before blazer bash? Or just send it because im not driving it down there?
(This is why I daily my wheeling rig for a couple weeks before big trips)

The only other weirdness was for some reason the hub was locked so ive been driving it for a while locked, not sure if thats hard on those or not...

I would at least take a look at it, but if you are going that far you might as well put new seals in. Couldn't the front R&P cause it to leak? When was the last time you had the cover off?

The cover was last off when a shop fixed my arb a couple weeks ago.

I talked to the shop he said its possible his guys buggered it up when they were working on the arb. He is going to fix it on Tuesday, either at his cost or "cheap".

Im really weird about leaks. I fix them asap. Even small leaks.

right on :saweet:

It's kind of odd that the seals weren't replaced when the carrier was out. It's on of those things that only takes an extra 15 minutes while it's apart rather than several hours later later.

Well and to be honest i didnt get an itemized receipt so maybe he did them and didnt say anything but then damaged it putting the axle in??? I really have no clue...

Its a full on axle shop thats what they do so i imagine they would know to just do those. But eh either way its being fixed so yay!!

Nah, part it out

Im putting my gear together and now i get to decide if i want to bring my own spare or share one, and if i want to bring a 38 or a 35 just to get off the trail.
