Mac straps are the shit! I have a set in the box trailer, need another set for the flat bed.

So a guy on CL just got back to me, 3k for a running 8.1L, Allison 1000 and tcase with all accessories, Radiator and ac stuff... I need more details about mileage and I'm pretty sure the tcase on this transmission is left side drop. I need to find out more details

Tcase will be driver drop. And allisons are 29 spline output tranny's...if you have a 205, ORD sells a 29 spline replacement input for 205's

If it's around 100k miles, that's a pretty good deal as long as regular maintenance was done on the drivetrain

It has 197000 on it but he sent video of it running and since I don't need the tcase 2500. So if I get an Ord 29 and an adapter from precision fabrication plus, this may be an option?

we have a 09 chevy 5500 rollback at work with just under 300k miles with the 8.1 and Allison .

motor is strong as a ox and no major work done yet . trans just went out and got a new jasper reman unit .

this truck gets run 6 days a week and when ever the phone rings she goes .

there a good combo .

Also those transfercases behind the Allison can go for a lot...should pay for the ORD kit and a 205

OK its for the round pattern np205. I'm pretty sure my tcase has a figure 8 pattern which it shouldn't have being a '84 but maybe bc it's an original 6.2 diesel? Not sure really but it is behind a th400 which I thought is a round pattern. I have to look at it tomorrow

84 older are fig 8 .

85 up are round 6 .

but being 84 ya never know . look and verify . . . dont ASSume what it is .
Yea I'm pretty sure it's an 8 I have to find out if I can just use a round to 8 adapter. Precision fabrication plus has all of them but a quick add up of the parts list is gonna be close to 1200 in parts

C

Definitely a good score! He was gonna pull the engine n trans but I talked him into 500 more for the entire truck! Good thing it's 20 degrees out n he didn't want to do the work

That's how to get a good deal on a parts truck....go when its cold out. I`ve done that! Wish you where close to me, I see lots of good front end parts for my 02.
